Apple has filed patent applications for a sensing device to operate TV and other equipment. The name of the application is "Apparatus and method for improving the universal remote control," said TechNews.bg.
The document states that in most controls are used too many buttons. According to Apple, extra buttons overload device and confuse the user when he tries to find commonly used features.Apple criticized universal remote control panels because they are more complex than the basic devices that replace and sometimes even have the same functions.The users have to waste time learning a new remote or programmed my universal console every time when buying new equipment and that it distracts from the pleasure. The solution to this problem is the console for managing multiple devices without difficulties described above.Apple offers interface with touch panel capable of showing simple, traditional menus depending on the type of device to be managed.
